We didn't want to do a feature comparison of these tools because, in truth, nowadays they all somehow address or are working on addressing most of the essential BI requirements of companies, such as security, governance, user analytics, semantic layer, and integration with common data warehouses. Instead, let's talk about the context and how we typically decide which tool is the most suitable for each specific client.
BI is dead! Long live Data as a service!
Data as a Service has the potential to fundamentally change the use of data in business. We can think of it as a concept for building the architecture of services, products, and companies so that data is available and usable anytime, by anyone, in any way. Data correct, current, reliable. We had excels, then came BI tools like Tableau or Power BI. But the vision of headless BI goes in a different direction. Rado summed it up perfectly in this article.

Už vás to určitě napadlo: spoustu činností děláte ve firmě stále dokola. Cloud je stále více oblíbený a hovoří o tom nejedna statistika. Proč tomu tak je? Za mě je odpověď jednoduchá: Technologie cloudu jde tak rychle dopředu, že na to on-premise řešení prostě nestačí reagovat. A taky už neplatí staré obavy jako například otázka ceny, výkonu a nebo ta nejčastější - bezpečnosti. Dokonce si troufám říct, že dnes jsou to naopak ty největší argumenty proč do cloudu jít. A nejsem sama, kdo si to myslí.
Barevný svět vašeho Business Intelligence
Svět kolem nás je (zaplaťbůh) barevný. A proč nemít i barevné BI? Pozor ale. Není barva, jako barva. Každá má svůj emocionální význam, stejně tak sousední barvy. Prostě když na mapu vykreslujete extrémní sucho, nemůže být tmavě modré. Tady je jednoduchý návod, jak barvy a barevná schémata ve vašem BI.
